01day 1Arrival in Budapest
Arrival in Budapest, transfer to the hotel and check-in. After a rest, a first look at the city and a walk through the festively decorated centre. Visit the Advent market at St Stephen's Basilica, with a chance to taste traditional Hungarian specialities and enjoy the Christmas decorations. Overnight: Budapest.
02day 2Budapest – city tour and Advent
After breakfast, an organised tour of Budapest. The programme includes Heroes' Square, Andrássy Avenue, the Parliament (exterior), the Chain Bridge, Buda Castle and the Fisherman's Bastion, with views of the Danube and the city. The afternoon is set aside for the Advent markets, souvenir shopping and tasting local specialities. Overnight: Budapest.
03day 3Budapest – Bratislava
After breakfast, hotel check-out and transfer to Bratislava. On arrival, a tour of the historic centre, including the Main Square, the Old Town Hall, St Michael's Gate, the Primate's Palace and St Martin's Cathedral. After the tour, time for the Advent market, handicrafts, local food and the festively decorated squares. Overnight: Bratislava.
04day 4Bratislava – the historic centre and Advent
After breakfast, continue exploring Bratislava with a visit to Bratislava Castle and a panoramic view of the city and the Danube. Then time to explore the old town on your own, shop, take photos and enjoy the Advent atmosphere. The evening is free for dinner at a traditional restaurant or another visit to the Christmas market. Overnight: Bratislava.
05day 5Bratislava – return
After breakfast, hotel check-out and transfer back to the departure point, marking the end of the programme.
